What is Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD)?
Pre-Authorized Debit allows ShipTime to securely withdraw shipment charges directly from your bank account. It provides a more predictable and controlled approach to managing shipping payments compared to credit cards.
Who can switch to Pre-Authorized Debit?
PAD is available for ShipTime accounts with an active Credit Account and a default credit card on file.

How do I switch to Pre-Authorized Debit?
- Go to Settings - Payments in your ShipTime Dashboard. Then confirm your Default Payment is set to a Credit Account

- Click Switch to Pre-Authorized Debit

Click Agree to continue to the bank selection and login
(See below for the manual verification process if required)
How do I connect my bank account?
Select your bank using the icons or search function
(If you don't see your bank listed, scroll to the bottom of the search page and select the manual verification process)
Log in securely to connect your account

Once completed, you will be redirected to Settings - Payments where your connected bank account will be displayed

What is the manual verification option?
- Select Manually verify during bank selection. Enter your banking details and click Submit.

Two micro-deposits will be sent to your account. Follow the instructions sent via email to confirm the amounts.

Review the Pre-Authorized Debit agreement and click Agree

Your account will show a Pending status until verification is complete. You will also receive follow-up emails from Stripe to finalize the process.

What happens after I complete setup?
Once your bank account is connected:
- You will be redirected to Settings - Payments
- Your bank account will be displayed as your payment method
- If using manual verification, the status will remain Pending until confirmed
