Shipping during the holidays is a stressful time of year. The carriers are especially hit hard with trying to get all the influx of presents trying to get to their destinations, on top of the normal shipments for businesses and deliveries.

In order to get your package to its destination on time, and this especially includes holiday gifts, the carriers have special Ship By dates to assist you with your planning for the shipping of holiday gifts. Please see the list below for the suggested ship by dates:

Reminder, most couriers suspend service guarantees during the peak season between November 20, 2024 and January 12, 2025.  Please keep in mind that the shipping volume during the holidays is much higher than normal and as a result couriers may experience an increase in missed pickups and delayed deliveries.  We would also like you to take into consideration the possibility of inclement weather which may also delay your delivery.  Please plan ahead!

• Canpar/Loomis
  
  During the Holiday season, Canpar/Loomis will be closed on the following days:
  • Wednesday, December 25, 2024
  • Thursday, December 26, 2024 
  • Wednesday, January 1, 2025                       

           Peak surcharges are in effect from November 1, 2024, through January 13, 2025.

• Purolator
  
  During the Holiday season, Purolator will be closed on the following days:
  • Wednesday, December 25, 2024
  • Thursday, December 26, 2024 
  • Wednesday, January 1, 2025  

            Customers who want next-day service on shipments to arrive by Dec. 22, 2023, should ship no later than Dec. 20, to                allow for any possible weather-related delay that may occur during this time of year.

            Peak surcharges are in effect from  November 3, 2024, through January 18, 2025.

• Nationex
  
  During the Holiday season, Nationex will be closed on the following days:
  • Wednesday, December 25, 2024
  • Thursday, December 26, 2024 
  • Wednesday, January 1, 2025  

        Nationex will not apply a Peak-Season Surcharge this peak season.

• GLS
  
  During the Holiday season, GLS will be closed on the following days:

• Thursday, December 26, 2024 
• Wednesday, January 1, 2025  

            GLS will apply a Peak-Season Surcharge from October 14th, 2024, through January 17th, 2025. 

• DHL

         DHL will not apply a Peak-Season Surcharge this peak season.

            FedEx will apply a Peak-Season Surcharge from September 30, 2024, through January 19, 2025.

• UPS

• Wednesday, January 1, 2025

          UPS will apply a Peak-Season Surcharge from September 29, 2024, through November 24, 2024.

• Canada Post
  
  During the Holiday season, Canada Post will be closed or have Modified hours on the following days:

• Wednesday, December 25, 2024
• Thursday, December 26, 2024 
• Wednesday, January 1, 2025  

           Per Canada Post, Service guarantees will be offered during peak where they will guarantee delivery for the quoted delivery + 1 day.

       Canada Post will apply a Peak-Season Surcharge from November 4, 2024, through January 12, 2025.
