Effective October 3, 2025 to January 19, 2026
Loomis Express has released its Peak Season Surcharge details for 2025. These temporary fees help support network reliability and service quality during the busiest shipping months of the year. During this period, surcharges will apply to items that require special handling, oversized packages, overweight shipments, residential deliveries, and parcels that exceed maximum Loomis size or weight limits.
All peak-season fees are added on top of Loomis standard service rates and any additional surcharges that apply to the shipment.

Residential Peak Season Surcharge
Effective October 31, 2025 to January 19, 2026
A residential peak surcharge of $2.00 per shipment applies to all Loomis residential deliveries during this timeframe. Loomis determines residential status at its sole discretion.
Surcharge Descriptions
Extra Care (Non-Conveyable)
Applied to items that cannot move through automated sortation due to packaging or shape. This may include:
Pails, containers, tires
Wooden or metal crates
Liquids
Ball bearings, nuts, bolts, fasteners
Any item not properly packaged in standard shipping materials
Over Length
Applied when any single dimension exceeds 48 inches (122 cm).
Oversize
Applied when:
Length + girth exceeds 130 inches (330 cm), or
Any single dimension exceeds 96 inches (244 cm)
Length = longest side. Girth = L + 2(W + H).
Overweight
Applied to shipments weighing more than 70 lbs (32 kg) but less than 150 lbs (68 kg).
Over Maximum Size or Weight
Applied when a package passes any of the following limits:
Any side measuring over 108 inches (274 cm)
Actual weight over 150 lbs (68 kg)
Length + girth exceeding 165 inches (419 cm)
Length = longest side. Girth = L + 2(W + H).
