What Is the Label Processing Fee?

ShipTime has introduced a label processing fee for shipments created using UPS (domestic CA and cross-border only) and FedEx US courier services. This fee helps support the additional processing, compliance checks, and courier-level coordination required for these shipments.

The fee is $1.50 per shipment and applies at the time a label is generated.

Which Shipments Does This Apply To?

The label processing fee applies to:

• UPS shipments
• FedEx US shipments


The fee does not apply to:

• Bring Your Own Rate (BYOR) shipments
• Shipments that are cancelled before being used

If a shipment is cancelled, the label processing fee is fully refundable.

Why Is This Fee Being Introduced?

This fee is being implemented to help offset the increased operational and compliance work required for certain courier shipments, particularly those involving cross-border and brokerage related complexities.


In recent months, some UPS and FedEx US shipments have experienced:

• Increased border and brokerage challenges
• Delayed or retroactive brokerage and customs-related charges
• Additional courier-imposed processing requirements
• More frequent post shipment adjustments tied to customs clearance


The label processing fee allows ShipTime to better manage these complexities, maintain platform reliability, and continue supporting customers when courier or border-related issues arise.

How Is the Fee Shown?

A notice regarding the label processing fee will be displayed at the Choose Courier step, under the price for each applicable service. 



The fee will also be clearly shown at the Finalize and Pay step as part of the full price breakdown.

There are no hidden charges, and the label processing fee is only applied when a label is successfully generated.
